Nikolai Bloyd – Managing Director
Nikolai is a host through and through. This Swiss-American with German roots has worked in renowned hotels and feels more at home in the Chiemgau than anywhere else. He is particularly inspired by the mountains: whether he’s hiking, skiing or simply gazing out over the valley, he recharges his batteries. Whether in a suit or lederhosen, Nikolai is always right in the thick of things, close to guests and staff alike. He is passionate about genuine togetherness and wants everyone who steps into Das Achental to feel welcome.

Alina Schmidt – Rooms Division Manager

The Concierge Team
Fabian and Juan are the duo behind our concierge team: true go-getters. They organise activities, excursions and little surprises that make every stay unique. Edip Sigl and his team at es:senz
Culinary Director Edip Sigl is the creative heart of our gourmet restaurant es:senz. But behind the three Michelin stars stands an entire team of highly dedicated chefs, service staff and sommeliers. Together, they ensure that every evening becomes an experience for all the senses – precisely coordinated, full of passion for the flavours of the Chiemgau region and with the aim of delighting our guests. essenz@das-achental.com
Sandra Möller – Florist
Anyone who enters the resort’s lobby is bound to stop and admire Sandra’s floral display. With a keen eye for colours, shapes and atmospheres, our florist transforms the décor throughout the resort into little works of art, whatever the season. Her arrangements simply lift your spirits and have inspired many a guest to take a bouquet home for that special someone.
Virag Csönge – Executive Head of Housekeeping
Virag and her dedicated housekeeping team ensure the resort shines from the guest rooms right through to the public areas. With a great deal of heart and an eye for detail, they create an atmosphere in which our guests immediately feel at home, whilst performing little miracles every day that often go unnoticed but make all the difference.
Wolfgang Bretzner – Technical Director
Wolfgang jokingly refers to himself as the ‘Senior Castellan’ – a title that originally denoted the steward and guardian of a castle. This is precisely how he sees his role at the Das Achental resort: with a wealth of experience, a broad overview and a steady hand, he and his experienced team ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. As a trusted point of contact, he knows every nook and cranny and, with his calm demeanour, helps to create the special atmosphere of our hotel.
