At our spacious hotel complex in Grassau on Lake Chiemsee, with its beautiful, extensive gardens and a 2,000 m² wellness area, you’ll find plenty of space to feel at ease, relax and rejuvenate. A particular highlight of our sports and golf hotel is our superbly maintained 18-hole golf course for beginners and professionals alike, which, set against a unique natural backdrop, offers distinctive challenges.

Our History
We consider ourselves fortunate to call one of Bavaria’s most beautiful workplaces our own, right in the heart of the Chiemgau region. We therefore regard treating the Chiemgau’s stunning natural environment with respect as both a matter of course and a cause close to our hearts.
Our love for the environment and our home region is reflected, amongst other things, in our strong ties to local producers. When selecting our products, we prioritise regional sourcing, sustainability and food of the highest organic quality.
In this way, we aim to play our part in preserving the beauty and uniqueness of Chiemgau’s natural environment for you and for future generations.
Get to know us
At our wellness resort, Das Achental, we serve up the culinary diversity of the Chiemgau region to provide you with exceptional moments of indulgence, day after day. Here, too, we are fully committed to our ‘Chiemgau Pur’ concept: our dishes feature predominantly regional produce of the highest organic quality.
We grow some of this ourselves with great care and dedication in our greenhouse and herb gardens. To ensure you can enjoy your meal with a clear conscience, we source our meat, cheese and eggs from local farms where the animals are allowed to lead happy lives with plenty of space to roam in the countryside.

With great dedication, a passion for design and a keen eye for detail, owner Ursula Schelle-Müller has left a lasting mark on the modern Alpine chic of our resort. The high-quality décor, featuring plenty of reclaimed timber, loden, modern furniture and light-coloured natural stone bathrooms, creates a relaxed, cosy and luxurious atmosphere in which you can unwind wonderfully.
