Sustainability at the resort
Situated in the heart of the Chiemgau region, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, we see it as our responsibility to preserve this beauty. Even though we are still on this journey, we would like to share our first steps towards sustainability with you.
Deeply rooted in the region, with a forward-looking approach

We prioritise partnerships with local producers who share our values. From breakfast eggs to a fine dinner menu, we focus on short supply chains, sustainable agriculture and the highest quality. Seasonality and regionality are also at the heart of the culinary offerings in our restaurants, whether at the 3-Michelin-starred es:senz, the Weißen Hirsch, the Vinothek, the See-Hütte or the Hubertushütte.
Sustainability on the golf course

The 18-hole championship course at the Das Achental resort is nestled within an exceptional natural landscape – and we take particular care to preserve it. As part of the “Golf & Nature” programme run by the German Golf Association (DGV), our course has been awarded the Silver Certificate. This award recognises our commitment in the following areas:
- Nature and landscape
- Maintenance and course operations
- Environmental management
- Health and safety and public relations
We actively promote species diversity and biodiversity – amongst other things, through well-maintained flowering meadows, habitats for wild bees and the sustainable use of resources such as water and energy.
Our greenkeeping team works closely with experts to combine ecological standards with sporting excellence. In this way, we create a golf course that both delights players and respects the environment.
Energy efficiency & environmentally friendly technologies
Whether it’s modern heat pumps, sophisticated building management systems, solar thermal energy for the outdoor pool or the ongoing expansion of our e-mobility infrastructure – we are constantly investing in technologies that reduce our environmental footprint. This ensures that the Achental remains a place where people can feel at home for generations to come.

Responsibility starts with people

In the Achental valley, people are at the heart of everything we do – whether they are guests, staff or partners. We treat one another with respect, promote diversity in all its forms and create a working environment that combines fairness, safety and mutual respect.
Our teams benefit from stable structures, fair pay and clear standards that go far beyond legal requirements. We also ensure fair terms and long-term cooperation in our dealings with our partners and suppliers.
For our guests, we create a place where they not only feel at ease but are also in safe hands – thanks to high hygiene standards and well-thought-out safety measures that remain discreetly in the background but are reliably effective in an emergency.
