10 years of the Das Achental Golf Resort

We are delighted to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of our beautiful golf course with you this year.
For a decade now, the resort’s own golf course, which is situated directly adjacent to the resort, has been delighting guests at Das Achental. Year after year, we have strived to offer you an exceptionally well-maintained 18-hole championship course, where you can tee off in a relaxed atmosphere whilst enjoying the beauty of the Chiemgau countryside. Our primary aim is to offer you a golfing experience that isn’t dependent on the weather. That’s why we provide a driving range with 20 rain-protected, partially heated tees, as well as an indoor simulator. On the practice areas, featuring fairway bunkers, sloping pyramids and varying grass heights, you can practise in all the conditions that the game of golf has to offer.

Our team has expanded the golf facility to include a Fitting Centre and a Performance Centre with TrackMan, to provide comprehensive support for golf enthusiasts and help them improve their game. However, investment has not only been made in the hardware, but also in the greenkeeping team and the PGA Premium Golf School. Under the leadership of Golf & Leisure Manager Simon Hangel, a varied and exciting programme has been developed at the academy. Alongside our own coaches, renowned premium coaches such as Martina Eberl, Nicole Gögele, Kate Floss, Frank Adamowicz, Peter Wolfenstetter and the team from Birdietrain – Josha Lampe and Lukas Eisinger – ensure a wide-ranging and challenging coaching programme. For Ursula and Dieter Müller, owners of the Das Achental resort, the creation of the resort’s own golf course has made a dream come true. The fact that the Das Achental golf course has secured a place amongst Germany’s best golf courses in recent years is the icing on the cake. “We are over the moon, as this excellent ranking confirms and motivates our team,” says Simon Hangel, Golf & Leisure Manager at the Das Achental resort in Grassau. “This fantastic ranking is not only a tribute to our golf course, but also to our entire resort and the range of facilities it offers,” emphasises Hangel. He is very proud of his outstanding staff: “Our greenkeepers consistently maintain the course to the highest international standards, even in challenging weather conditions. And our service teams provide our members and guests with first-class events and tournaments.”

Our prize draw starts on 1 May 2024, runs for 10 weeks, and ends on 15 July 2024. The following prizes will be raffled off:

• 1st prize: 2 exclusive teeing times at the legendary “Achentaler Invitational Tournament”, including 2 nights’ accommodation with a champagne breakfast
• 2nd Prize: 2x overnight stays for 2 people in a junior suite, including a champagne reception, unlimited golf and free participation in the activities programme
• 3rd prize: A golf proficiency course for you and your friends (maximum 5 people)
• 4th- 10th prize: 7x green fee vouchers for 2 people, with a glass of champagne per person

Terms and Conditions of Entry and Privacy Policy

Participants and Entry
Any individual aged 18 or over who is permanently resident in Germany or Austria may enter. Employees of Achental Resort and their relatives are excluded. Each person may only win once. Each person may only win once. Any breach of this rule will result in the relevant participant being excluded from the competition. Attempts to manipulate the competition will also result in exclusion from the competition.

Competition period and prizes
The competition period begins on 1 May 2024 and ends on 15 July 2024 at 23:00.
To enter the competition, participants must follow “DasAchentalGolf” on Instagram/Facebook, like the competition posts, comment using the hashtag #10JahreDasAchentalGolf and tag one person to accompany the winner. During the competition period mentioned above, a competition offering 10 chances to win will take place over the course of 10 weeks. The prizes are listed in the post description, in the newsletter or here on the landing page. You can increase your chances of winning by signing up for the golf newsletter in addition to liking, following, commenting and sharing the story post.
Winners will be selected at random from all entrants using a random number generator. Winners will be notified by email or via direct message on Instagram/Facebook.

Data Protection
Entrants’ data will be treated anonymously until consent is given for publication and will under no circumstances be passed on to third parties. A claim to the prize only arises if the winner confirms acceptance of the prize to Das Achental Resort within 72 hours and provides Das Achental Resort with the data required to determine the winner. Cash payment and changes to the prize are not permitted. Claims to the prize are not transferable to other persons.
All participants’ names will be recorded and stored for the purpose of determining the winner. All data will be deleted no later than 30 days after the end of the competition. Address details will only be collected from the winners and used solely for the purpose of dispatching the prize. No data will be passed on to third parties.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions of entry and data protection provisions, the entrant consents to the use of data as described above. Entrants are entitled to their statutory rights to access, amend and withdraw consent regarding the data they have provided.

Disclaimer / Amendments to the Terms and Conditions
Das Achental Resort accepts no liability for the availability of the Das Achental Resort website. Das Achental Resort also accepts no liability for any transmission errors.

Early termination and amendment of the competition
Das Achental Resort reserves the right to terminate or amend the competition at any time without prior notice if, for technical or other reasons, the proper conduct of the competition cannot be guaranteed or if the fairness of the competition appears to be compromised. This shall not give rise to any claims on the part of participants.

Miscellaneous
Legal recourse is excluded. There is no enforceable claim to the prize or to payment of its cash value. These terms and conditions of participation and the entire legal relationship between the participant and Das Achental Resort are governed exclusively by German law. Should any individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

Final provision
This competition is not affiliated with Instagram or Facebook and is in no way sponsored, endorsed or organised by Instagram or Facebook. The recipient of the information provided by participants is not Instagram or Facebook, but Das Achental Resort. The information provided will be used solely for the purpose of running the competition. Participants release Instagram/Facebook from any liability arising from claims in connection with the running of the competition (in particular its publication and organisation). Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the competition should be addressed directly to Das Achental Resort and not to Instagram or Facebook.
