Do you love the snow as much as we do? Then visit us in winter and enjoy the wintry Chiemgau with us.
... Because it´s so nice ...
During a medium difficulty level mountain tour to the east summit of the Kampenwand an impressive view to Chiemsee, the Alpine foothills and the Central Alps chain awaits. Head through a mountain forest up to Steinlingalm on leisurely mountain paths. The ascent to the summit cross then proceeds via high Alpine ledge, rocky paths and a short - rope-secured - steep path. Fitness,
surefootedness and a head for heights are absolutely needed for this hike – and are rewarded with unique panoramic views on the summit.
During a moderately difficult mountain tour to the summit of the Geigelstein, there are so many sights to discover: Let your mind wander as you gaze at the variety-packed flora and fauna in the Geigelstein conservation area and enjoy a unique view from the summit of the second highest mountain in Chiemgau.
And in between times, enjoy some refreshments in the Roßalm: It is the highest Alpine inn in Chiemgau and during the summer season serves typical Alpine inn fare.
The Chiemgauer Hochplatte is a mountain summit that is relatively easy to get to and provides fantastic views to the surrounding area and Chiemsee. Along the way there are several Alpine inns providing cosy places to stop off for refreshments.
The view from the summit cross - for example from the Dürrnbachhorn to the Three Lakes region or from the Hochfelln to the Chiemsee - compensates for all the effort on the ascent. Would you like to go hiking with your children? Hiking boots laced? Or run out of mountaineering villages? Then let's go to find your own personal summit happiness in the Chiemgau.
